Roxy is microchipped but was considering tattooing originally. What does everyone else do?

Kane is chipped and I'm considering DNA profiling as well. I'm kinda in between on my thoughts on tattoos, The vets only do them in the ear and if the dog is stolen for the purposes of fighting there wouldn't be a 2nd thought in taking the dogs ear of to be rid of it. On the other hand, if the dog is stolen with the purpose of keeping or selling on as a pet it would be a deterrent as a dog with 1 ear off would definitely bring suspicion. Another thing that isn't considered much is noseprints. No 2 noseprints are the same but I have yet to hear of a database for noseprints of dogs.
