Whats in a Name?
I didn't have the opportunity to name Jade and I didn't like it at first but it grew on me! I always wonder how people came to name their dogs - what they named them after or what gave them the idea. xx

My OH named our dog. Kane is not a name that is really used in Canada. But he hated every name I picked and I hated all his choices, again, in Canada we are for the most part not ones to use people names on out pets and it seems quite popular here in the UK. I finally agreed Kane was a name I could live with and I must admit it suits him.

Re: Whats in a Name?
The kids from where we got Mista Tee from nick named him this as he was the largest of the litter and was black when he was born and once my OH heard the name he wanted to keep it - i hated it at first but we couldnt agree on another name so he got his way.
Then when we got Missy i wanted to her Roxy but the OH said it had to go with Mista so he came up with Missy.

We chose Daisy because it suits her and it doesn't sound like Beth, Fred or Molly, our other dogs' names. Then she got the nickname Boots because of her white toes and now we mostly call her Boo. I don't think it sounds silly
All our dogs have middle names too. Daisy is Daisy-Boo Amber, because she has amber eyes.
She occasionally gets called chunk or piggy but that's a bit mean :)

Re: Whats in a Name?
My dog is called Murdoch. Because of the A-Team (not the media mogul as many of the posh ladies where I live seem to think!). I just loved that series and Murdoch was "howlin' mad" so the name really fits my boy!!
