Raw Meat

Did your dogs take to raw meat straightaway. Roxy loves raw meat on the bone but looks at me as if I'm trying to poison her sometimes when I give other raw meat. She loves sardines and tuna and will eat chicken mince and raw chicken wings but is s alittle bugger for trying new things.

Kane takes to EVERY kind of food right away. Not sure if he even tastes any of what he eats as he hoovers everything so fast, lets out a huge belch and goes off to lick his lips for about 1/2 an hour. I tried him on chicken wings once but he won't chew them, he only swallows them whole and of course they don't go down so well and he brings them back up right away and swallows them whole again. Too scary for me so I stick to either mince or chunks of boneless meat.

I'm going to take Debs advice and try Jade with some raw meat this weekend, just a couple of chicken wings to get her going to see if she likes it! I'll let you know how I did with the fussy little madam!!xx

she is a guts she does not let anything touch the sides so now that i feed her liquidised veg she has to take that bit longer and i put the meat underneeth it lol

Just thought I'd let you know that Jade has gone steak mad!!

I bought some for me and the OH at the weekend and she followed me around the kitchen grunting until I gave in and gave her some!! Trust her to have expensive taste!!! Didn't give her the chance to ge used to rump though and got her some frying steak yesterday!!! :lol!: She refused it at first the fussy little s^%t but I stuck it in the microwave for 30 seconds and she wolfed it down!

Steak! She's an uptown girl now, no steak for Kane. Not that he minds or even takes the time to see whats hit the dish as it's all gone in the blink of an eye. He's gotten so bad about glutting his food that I have to take his meal up halfway thru till he burps. He eats so fast amd takes in so much air as he goes that if I wait till after the whole meal for him to burp the air forces the whole works back up. And of course a wipable floor isn't good enough for this.

Tess had her 1st raw chicken wing the other day and she loved it, she ate it that quick i don't think it even touched the sides, so i'm gonna start intorducing other raw meats to her and see how she gets on with them aswell

Jade loves the PAH Chicken & liver mince and normal beef steak mince....oh and shes partial to the odd rump steak!!

I heard about them but have to wait till I get a freezer to stock up. Will need with eventually feeding 3 dogs.

Yeh i had to get a bigger freezer, the animals get fed better than we do

Is there a specific age to start them on raw meats? As my furbies are only 5 months I wouldn't want to start them too young if it isn't advisable.
