Bath time

Just a quickie, because its something i'm unsure on. How regularly do you wash/bath your dog? Can it be detrimental to coat and skin to wash them too much? :?:

I hardly ever bath Jadey - she smells nicer than me most of the time! :)
I use Pets at Home grooming wpies every couple of days to keep her coat shiny but the only time I bathe her is when shes been out and shes really muddy - she hates bath time so its a good job she isn't a smelly moo!!

My bitch is almost 5 i have bathed her about twice in her life, as she rolled in something awful, she smells as sweet as roses and her coat gleams, i only ever bath mine when needs must and i am very pleased with the condition of their coats,

Bonnie and Max get a bath about once a month because by this time they are filthy from rolling in dirt.

i shower rocco and lexus once every few months becasue they play fight in the garden and are coverd in mud constantly and they stink! rocco doesn't like the shower very much but will sit in it till he has been washed, there is a dog wash near me now (in a car wash) so i am going to start using that soon and save my bathroom!

Roxy has a bath about twice a year. I usually wait til she is really stinking and moulting and then give her a good scrub and get rid of all that loose hair at the same time.
