Horrific Attack

Some people just aren't fit to own dogs. This enrages me, its bad enough having to deal with some of the looks we get from the misinformed when walking staffs, but this doesn't help our cause one bit. This happened 2mins away from me, in an area i walk Milo in regularly.

An attack like this have just hapend here i Norway to, saddly....
But it was not an sbt .... It dosent matter what kind of breed it is anyway, stupid owners :(

Why oh why is it people like this, the ones who haven't got the brains to train their dogs to be good citizens, that have to go for the breeds of dogs that need the most experienced owners. First off to be so irresponsible as to walk off after the 1st attack took place but to not put the dog on the lead and come back for a 2nd go??? Every dog owner knows if their dog has prey drive and if so you don't walk them off lead....ever.

I really believe we need leash laws in this country that mirror the US law.

Yes back home in canada we have a leash law. There are a few dog parks around that are contained by fence and you can let your well socialised dog loose in them but anywhere else the law is that once you leave your doorstep there MUST be a leash on the dog. We also still have licensing, which is considerably cheaper if that dog is altered, so once they are 5 months they are licenseable. Once a year they go door to door checking if you have dogs and they can look on their system to see if they are listed with them.

I think this would be the best thing for here, poor swans, this owner was totally irresponsible and although I am sure theyare devestated if he had bothered to take the time to train and leash his dogs this could have been easily avoided.

How awful - the poor swan! Really drives me mad! I agree with the leash law too - anything would be worth a go at trying to cut down these ruthless attacks by dogs with stupid owners that are giving our dogs a bad name.

You dont have a leash law?
We have that, I dont remember det actually date but it is from early on may and it last out to 20 august....
