Re: ear infection
Awk sorry to hear that. Touch wood I haven't come across it with my two girls yet. One thing I know is that I personally cannot take having a sore ear so I wonder how they feel when it happens to them.. Ah bless her. Hope the ear drops work for her.

Re: ear infection
Ear drops seem to be working but can still her clicking when i rub her ear and last night she yelped when i massaged it for her so think i'll take her vet anyway cuz it seems to be hurting her now where as before when i massaged ear she showed relief and seemed to like it. She as had problem with ear before vet just gave me cream to clean inside of ear with cotton wool thats why i thought i'd try drops 1st £3.99 for same thing as vet would give me seemed pointless but will take her cuz she in pain with it

Re: ear infection
Hope she'll be ok soon. Vet is probably best option now if the drops aren't working. Costly but I suppose we'd pay anything to ensure our pets are pain free. Let us know how she gets on.

Re: ear infection
The vets is definately your best bet - Jade is very prone to ear infections - shes had about 4 in the past 12 months and the drops the vet gives me clears it up pretty quickly. We do have to chase her around the house though to get the drops in!

Re: ear infection
It can't be that bad then - when Jade's is really bad she doesn't eat and has a face like a slapped !!!! Let us know how she gets on.xx

Re: ear infection
sounds like possibly a yeast infection. Could be mites but I would think she would have it in both ears if it was and they usually tend to pick it up from cats or another pet they are around frequently that has it. My 1st thought is with the yeast infection though. Vets like to just prescribe antibiotics and/or drops but you have to take a look at a number of things in your dogs life including diet. Here is a link for you to have a read.

Re: ear infection
Glad to hear she's better. Such a worry when they are not right and the simplest thing can get out of hand in no time.

Re: ear infection
Murdoch has had ear infections a couple of times, but just drops from the vets sorted it out, with no cleaning or tablets or anything. It cleared up within the week both times - phew!
