If you didn't have a staffy....

If you didn't have a staffy which other breeds would you consider?

For me it would be:

English Bull Terrier
American Bulldog
French Bulldog (love them!!)

I've got a real soft spot for rotties but don't know if I could manage a dog that huge!!!
My friend has an british bull called Molly and shes gorgeous! only a puppy and very naughty!!!

I love british bulldogs but they are soooo expensive. My room mate at uni had one and it snored all day long!!

Molly was £800!!!!! she is sooooo lazy for a puppy as well!!! refuses to go for a walk and spends her days in front of the fire!!!

I have seen them in th paper by me for £1200 - £1400!!!

Yeah I think so! Its madness! Trouble is people catch onto the p[rices they fetch and then along come the Back Street Breeders and overbreed and destroy its standards.

id have american bulldogs and border collies hehe

but if i didnt have them id have a ebt or a greyhound

Greyhound!?! Couldn't be more different from a staffy!! They are lovely dogs though.

id love to rescue a greyhound, there are so many ex racers out there that need homes!

Thats a hard one to answer. I kept/showed rotties back in Canada and I don't think I want anymore large breeds although I have a soft spot for Dogue de Bordeax, Bullmastiffs and Ambuls. Most the ones I do like the OH hates like frenchies and bostons. I do like EBT's as well but would like the mini version if I was to have one.

Border Collie or Cattle Dog they were the breeds we had around when we were kids and they were always so loyal.

For me it would be:

Bullmastiff (i have a Bully X, but i would love a pure bred Brindle)
Dogue de Bordeaux
American Bulldog
English Bulldog
English Mastiff
Cane Corso

Are we sensing a Bull Breed theme here?

my Aunty has 2 red dobs they are mother and daughter and they are just adoreable

If we didnt have sbt we would probably have an English Bull Terrier or a Rottie - would love an English Bulldog but they are so expensive and arent meant to live that long. If i had a big enough house i would love a St Bernard.
