Missing dog Empty Missing dog

Post by Guest Tue Aug 26, 2008 3:13 am

Got into work this morming to discover that one of my boss's dogs has gone missing. She escaped from the house on Saturday night at 10.30 while they were on their way home from holiday. His mom had been looking after his 3 dogs while they were away and Bess jumped out the window. They are both devestated - the dogs are their lives. She was last seen by a park that they take her to and they spent the night there last night in the hope that she'd appear. Hopefully they will find her soon. I'll probably go over tonight after work and help them look for her. Fingers crossed guys.xx

Missing dog Untitled-1

This is a pic of her in case anyone lives in the area.

They have been in touch with absolutely everyone - they have left no stone unturned - they are completely heartbroken.
I have posted her on several websites and I'm just about to do some more.
After work tonight I am heading over there with some posters and put them everywhere that they haven't and help search for her. Its not much but I feel like I have to do something - can't imagine how it must feel.

So many dogs escape while under someone elses care. I don't think I could ever have a good time on holiday if I couldn't take mine with me. Poor Bess, I hope someone nice has taken her in till her owners are found.

It was definately Bess I'm afraid - we've had several calls to confirm that it was her. Nobody has a record of who collected the body and where she is now though. Neil and Stacey are devestated.

Oh that's awful. I really feel for your friends - I'd be beside myself if that happened to Murdoch and even worse if I couldn't have the chance to say goodbye. Complete heartbreak, my thoughts and best wishes go out to Neil and Stacey.

I cant believe it but theres been another diaster for my bosses.
A few weeks after Bess died they took on Stacey's mom's dog who was attacked and needed some TLC. Along came Jess - who was also Bess's sister. She as a lovely little doggie - always wanting love and attention - they would bring her into the ofiice and I got really attached to her.
Got a phonecall from Neil on Wednesday morning telling me that she'd managed to get off her lead and was ran over and killed.

They are absolutely inconsolable. Jess really helped them get over Bess and now, just a few months later shes been taken away as well.
I thought they were in a state when Bess dies but they really are in a bad way. I just dont know what to say to them - cant believe its happened again. It does my head in knowing how many dogs are mistreated and unloved by their owners and they've lost 2 dogs that were loved to bits.

RIP Little Jess.xxx

My God. What are the chances of that happening? I hate to say it, but maybe the dogs weren't properly restrained / contained? For it to happen to two of them is really unfortunate - I'm sure part of their sadness is blaming themselves (rightly or wrongly). I'm sure they'd hate for it to happen a third time, so it might be a good idea to review security arrangements?

My heart goes out to them though, so sad to lose two well loved dogs in such a short space of time.

I think you may be right on the second occassion - theres no way she'd have gotten out of her harness without it being fastened wrong.

With Bess, the first dog they were on holiday and she jumped out of one of the windows, ran to the road and got ran over. Neils mom was supposed to be looking after her.

Neil is blaming himself big time cos he had her on the lead.

How horrible to hear that tragedy has hit this family a 2nd time. Can't imagine how awful they must feel to lose both dogs in such a short period of time. I hope this doesn't put them off ever having another dog in their lives in the future. Lord knows they would be so over cautious it would never happen again.

I think it has put them off big time. They still have 2 dogs but I think when something happens to them that'll be it for them.

Looking at the state of both of them it has really made me dread something happening to Jadie even more. It really would put you off having doggies - they are brilliant but when something happens to them its as devestating losing a child.xx Missing dog 87783

Oh no! That's just terrible. I can't imagine what they must be going through at the moment.

When my sister lost her dog & cat to old age illnesses she swore she would never get anymore animals as it was just too hard for her when they had to be PTS and I know she means it.

I don't know how I'd cope if anything ever happened to my girls. I really feel for your boss & his wife...so tragic for them :o(
