Hiya - New User with 2 Staffies
Hi everyone,
I am Sam and i have 2 staffies , Susie is 13 years old and is a staffie cross and Trixie is nearly 2 and Pure Staffie .
I got Susie when she was 5 from a rescue centre , She was very poorly treated and took a long time for her to settle in , Unfortunately she is a bit poorly at the moment and vet says she may not be around for Xmas so we are spoiling her rotten at the mo ,
We have had Trixie for 6 months and got her as a companion for Susie , she is also a rescue dog and is mad as a hatter , she has certainly brought a new lease of life into susie !
I have just started agility classes with Trixie to try and get rid of some of her boundless energy she has ... been doing it for 3 weeks now and she is already top of the class :-)
Bye for now , Sam

hello Staffiesinneed !
Thanks for the link to this site - love it - Hope all is well with you and the doggies :-)
Hi Claire,
She has had artritus for many years now , a few weeks back she fell over on my Mums laminate floor and 2 days later could not even stand or walk , Took her to the vets and her hip sockets have just ground away and her left leg is just solid with artritus , Vet has put her on Predisolne steriods( which is only intended for short term use ) and has told us that she is on borrowed time and just to spoil her rotten , She is still ok in herself just needs a helping hand up and down stairs and over to the park ..
vet has said in time she will get to the point where steroids wont help her and she will unfortunately have to go :-(
We are gutted as she is a perfect doggie but we dont want her to be in pain so we are just taking it day by day ,
what is concerning us is lil ole Trixie , she adores Susie and has been with doggies all her life so im not sure how she is gonna deal with being the only doggie in the household ...
i'll work out how to put some more piccies of the girls on here soon
sam , susie & trix

Hi Sam and welcome to Just Staffs. Mixed emotions over poor Susie....on the one hand I am sorry to hear she is poorly because I know you will miss her but on the other, especially since she's fine in herself, it's nice to hear that she has had 8 years of happy life with your family. Trixie will need another playmate I suppose... . But your in the right place to share it all with other staffy minded friends.

Hi Sam, welcome to you, Susie and Trixie. I'm sorry to hear about Susie being unwell. I am sure that you have given her a fantastic life, but it is so sad to hear. Its fantastic that Trixie is doing well in agility already! xo
