bum scratching
Evey so often maddie scratches her bum along the carpet she as been wormed does anyone know why she doing this? And what i can do? She has relief on her face when scratching lol

She has impacted anal glands. An irregular diet can have an adverse effect on this as well....people food, too many treats, not feeding the same diet consistently and sometimes some dogs are just more prone to it and need some extra fiber in 1 or 2 meals during the week to help. Read the topic in this same section called "Icky subject" to learn more as we just recently covered this subject.

My 2 don't do this but my Mum's doggy does (he's not a staffy) & the family always thought he was just itchy & thought it was funny but it now all makes sense...
Too many treats & human food from Dad?...yup...& this is the reason why I do NOT leave my 2 on their own there.

Max scatches his bum on the carpet but only when he has bad fleas which can be hard to control underneath our 3 huge pine trees, Bonnie is currently working on removing branches to help us access the flea population!
He also likes to scratch his tummy on the carpet and drag his legs behind him!
